this is solution for providers. a lot of providers don't want allow end users install any applications

then you should just delete youtube and and plex aplications and go back to the more stable linux firmware because frankly it is ridiculous

You could install apps via embedded file manager

nothing to do, it's embedded and called "FIle Browser", it;s related for 605 only. Please pay attention your Service Provider can disable this option
