s530, full firmware image needed to remove provider security code

Post by barakudaone » 03 Dec 2023, 21:13

Hello, I have a v530 wiht linux-qt, I am no longer in contract with the provider "Comnet Bulgaria".
When I try to go to settings it requires a security code, and can't change any settings, even network ones.
I tried installing the signed.ota update over usb, it says successful, I also factory reset but there is still a code needed.
Can you please provide a way to remove the code, or the full firmware image so I can remove everything related to provider and use it as a media center.

to avoid any confusion, I am looking for the .img file to use in the amlogic burn tool, as it looks like the bootloader is locked/encrypted so I cant use a default s905w img

Some service providers lock the box, so you can't change the URL to another provider.

It is the same when you buy from large providers. The box you receive from them will only work on their channels.

It is the same thing here. They sell you a box with subsidized price, but you can't change provider.
