TVIP s530 for use as media player only

Hello guys, i want the s530 to use exclusive as USB/LAN media player.

1) Can i use TVIP 530 as media player ONLY, without put any service or any subscription?

2) If we connect a usb stick or HDD with videos, when a video is playing and we press the CH+ button on the remote, load the next video? (not the previous). I see that remote have NEXT button but is more confortable for me the CH+.

3) When a video is playing and we press the left/right arrows on the remote, we seek the video forward/backward? If not, how we can seek the videos?

4) The video loading time (first video and all the next) for USB and LAN, is good?

5) Can i connect DVD ROM to USB, to play DVD discs with video files?

6) I have not ask the basic question... TVIP boxes is good for use as media player?

Of course you can use TVIP as a media player, because TVIP sBox is a real media player.

1. For Provider Free or unlocked models, you don't need any subscriptions to view your content.
2. Yes, you could use CH + or CH + buttons to load the next video or previous video file.
3. Yes, you could left/right arrows for seek the video fragments or use buttons on display.
4. Loading content from network depends of your network performance.
5. I don't know, I can't check it because I haven't usb dvd

What to you mean unlocked? I buy i from a tech store without any subscription, only the box. That can be locked for any reason?

For use without the buttons on display, we just press left/right and we seek, correct?

For the DVD ROM support, i have found that message from 2013 that says "to by added on next firm update".
So i'm sure that the DVD is supported.

No, this don't work! Left/right arrows without info menu not do anything.

For the DVD ROM... also not working. I have test two different models with power adapter.

Also, the remote control have 80% same IR codes with AMIKO and EDISION, TV receivers.
Same IR codes with no identical buttons.

For this, can you explain me what doing wrong? This is working or you guess that is working?

Why you have to press the left/right arrows to show media player menu AND THEN you have to press up/down/left/right arrows to select a function button from menu? This function exist without any reason. The remote control have all button to use as media player.
If not working with only buttons from remote, for me the box is useless. The MAG as media player, work perfect only with remote control.
