TVIP S-605: Lost Provider All Connections with Firmware update 5.0.48 (19.01.2022)

I had a message on my TVIP S-605 box that a firmware update was available.

The former version worked perfectly, and as 5.0.42.

The Update Type was default (not Beta).

I did the update and now I have a black screen and can't access any channels.
The provider Web Portal immediately did not work, and on restart does not load at all.

Everything worked minutes before this update install.
The IPTV provider reports that their service is ok, so it's clear this TVIP Firmware Update has broken something.

Also, the Settings Menu has now lost functionality.
It's harder to navigate and TV / Content Source used to have 3 options to select. Now it is locked on only 1: "Web Portal"


1. Can I rollback this update to the previous firmware version?
2. Is there any other higher version (even a beta) I can try instead?
3. When will there be an alpha fix to these issues?
4. Anything else I can try as a workaround?

This part is now currently not a problem anymore. After some more power reboots, the selection of 4 options including Web Portal came back.

The main issue, Provider Portal won't load / gone black remains.

Can u check is web portal setting right address of your Service provider?

Thanks for your reply.

That was not changed, and was as per the SP Guide.
However, I asked them about it, and they gave me another Portal URL to try and that new one worked!

I don't have the info understand the problem. Possibly they were not supporting your latest firmware on their in-house server, but a mirror one from their supplier does (just my guess).

I have given them the Firmware number so they can look at a fix their side.

For me, I now have a work around, but will try to update you if they feedback to me.
