Problem with recordings

Hi! I have a TVIP 605-box running Linux-qt and web portal. Recently I decided I wanted to do scheduled recordings of some programs so I bought a USB stick and inserted it in the box. Unfortunately I'm not able to do recordings. The Record button in the EPG is not active, see picture in link below. What settings do I have to change to make this possible? I've already set my USB stick in the DVR storage setting. I have no idea if this is correct.

I have already talked to them. They say that they don't block recording. They are not very helpful when it comes to technical support.
I thought that maybe there is a setting that you need to change when you want to record to USB for the first time.

did you insert usb stick and enable DVR storage in settings?

Yes, I did.
