Thanks for you reply!
Just to be clear, in TiViMate when I setup a new provider I have a choice of stream formats--> m3u, Xstream codes or Stalker Portal.
From my IPTV service provider (which is not Xstream) I received a m3u link. What I do is I substract the server, username and password from the m3u url, select Xstream codes on TiViMate and put in my substracted credentials. The stream type is set to mpegts.
This way EPG works automatically and program catch-up (timeshift) works perfectly.
I tried all available 'content sources' (IPTV portal, web portal, middleware api, legacy api) in the TVIP box and I cannot login in either stream type using substracted credentials from the m3u link. The only type of content source working is of course the m3u url, but using that I cannot figure out how to use catch-up/timeshift (let alone if it works via m3u).
Please take a look at the Xstream Codes API:
https://github.com/zaclimon/xipl/wiki/Xtream-Codes-API
As you can see, all that Xstream Codes does is make a m3u url from the provided credentials. However, it also introduces available 'media modes' including timeshift and categorized VOD and series, and of course automatically assigns EPG.
Therefore I would like to ask the TVIP dev's to please include the Xstream Codes API for a better IPTV experience.
