pass-through will make the v.605 and v.610 to restart

Something is wrong with the pass-through on TVIP v.605 and v.610 (probably all the other models too).

When watching IPTV it will suddenly make the box to restart when pass-through i selected as Digital sound output.

When trying to play a VOD it will restart the box immediately upon start when pass-through i selected as Digital sound output, but it will not happen on all VOD's.

I have the latest firmware (4.2.33 08.04.2020) and i have made a factory reset too, but it won't change anything.

The only thing that will work is to set it to PCM audio, but then i will lose the 5.1 audio.

Update: I have now tested a TVIP v.415 with the exact same firmware (4.2.33 08.04.2020) and it is also restarting with Digital sound output set to pass-through.

Update: I can watch a TV channel and suddenly there will be some glitches in the picture (that we all know can happen time to time), but this will also do something with the audio because it will make the box to restart if Digital sound output is set to pass-through.

I have the same issue with my TVIP 615
When i have set it to Pass-through and change the audio to at DTS Track, the box reboot.
I don't have any problems when playing DD audio track.


By the way, my reciever is a Yamaha dsp-5600 soundbar.

update: Beta fw 4.2.35 , still not fixed the DTS Passthrough Just tested

The box is rebooting after a few secs, when the VOD is started.
after the reboot, there is no sound at all - first i need to unplug power or make a sinfo 19 sinfo

Please fix it fast

I'm using 4.2.35 (19.06.2020) linux-qt/beta in my 605 and no problems playing 5.1 with Digital sound output: Pass-through
Can you give an example of stream that fails?

I only got problems with movies (VOD) or live tv channels, that playing DTS track - there is no problem with DD track

I have made a few test and this time i tried to run it with an M3U-playlist instead of a Web portal. I then changed the Digital sound output to pass-through and i then started a VOD i know have DTS audio and the same thing happened as when i run it in web portal mode except for one thing. When the box have restarted it was impossible to get the sound back. I tried everything and the only working fix i could find was to unplug the power and then put it back in.

I have now installed the latest beta (4.2.35) and I tried to play a video with DTS audio from the Media player over my LAN and it did the same thing as before, a reboot!
