Where to download older firmwares for 605/linux qt

Post by showbizz » 12 Jun 2021, 10:37

Hi
Is there any sites or did people have the file for older firmwares on there system.
I'm running latest version x.29, but have many issues with this version..
stability issues, box turns red sometimes, so i need to reload portal.
All problems occurs after using digital sound outout to passthru (box connected to my surround system)

Sadly i doesnt have downloaded the old firmwares, because and earlier version, was there no issues with sound problems.

Yeah i know that, but maybe some people downloaded older files on there computer.

all versions in 5.x is very bad... many issues - especially with digital sound output - set as passthru.

My tv is a Samsung q67 - my soundbar is yamaha ysp5600.
TVIP box is connected directly to soundbar via hdmi
TV is connected to soundbar via HDMI ARC

Do you have your TVIP box connected to a soundbar/surround receiver via passthru ?

DTS sound would first be activated if:
* the videosource have DTS and is chosen + digital output is set to passthru,
* now if the HDMI PORT on the TVIP box is sensing a dolby dts/dd+ decoder it will start sending the DTS signal directly to the decoder.

My other friend have same issue - he have a Expensive Marantz SR dolby surround decoder.

We have following issues:
1. If the channel transmitting DTS, sometimes the box wil jumps out of the portal, but now there is no sound at all. only solution is sinfo 19 sinfo
2. Other issue is the box will reboot sometimes.

my other box, also a tvip 605, same firmware.
is connected directly to a tv - digital output is passthru,
Here is no issue.

If i swap these 2 boxes , then the problem following the swap.

So im quite sure the issue is the firmware, as i remember the 4.2.35 doesnt have that issue at all

A little update. about the issue

I have now tested my box connected to soundbar and the box only connected only to tv.
If i activate pass through in "digital sound output" and restart the box.
Then the issue is active :(

Every time i browse to a tv channel, that have DD or DTS sound track, the box hops out of the portal, back to "multi portal menu"
If i load the portal now - have 3 servers to choose between, there is absolutely no sound in any channel.
If i restart my box with sinfo19sinfo, the sound is back - until i stream a channel with DD/DTS track again.

Why is it not possible to get the older firmware back - for sideload via USB.

I'm quite sure, that i'm not the only one, with this stupid issue - that is come back since 4.2.35 :(:(
